# Turn family updates into a podcast episode everyone can listen to

Paste a long message, a letter or the family's news and poddub turns it into a short private podcast episode: an audio briefing for the whole family, with chapters and a transcript, on a private feed of their own.

## The long message nobody finishes

A family with a lot to share writes more than anyone reads to the end: the message about the move, the letter from the trip, the news of a birth, the plans for the summer. poddub turns what was written into a short podcast episode, on a private feed for the family.

It is a private podcast in your family's own words, voiced by one narrator or two hosts, as long as you choose. Grandparents, cousins abroad, a teenager on the bus: everyone hears the same news, on their own time.

## Who it is for

A family with a lot to share, spread over several homes, cities or countries: the person who writes the long updates, and everyone who would rather listen than scroll back through a group chat. Beyond work, poddub is the same app with the same private feeds.

Someone who finds a long screen of text hard going can hear it instead, in the poddub app or in a podcast app that can add a show by link.

## From the news to an episode in three steps

Sign in to the poddub app with your email address and invite the family: each of them installs poddub, signs in with that address and accepts. Everything below happens in the app.

1. **Paste the news** Paste the message, the letter or the news into the app and pick the team it is for: the whole family, or one side of it. If several people wrote, paste each one as a source and make one episode from several. Then choose one narrator or two hosts, the language and the length.
2. **Read and approve the script** poddub writes the script and stops. Read it line by line and correct a name or a nickname by hand, since whatever you write is spoken as it stands. Have poddub write a line or the whole script again where it needs to, and approve it. Nothing is spoken before that.
3. **Publish to the family** When the audio is ready, publish it to its team, or to everyone in the family when your role allows it. It reaches them in the app and in their private feeds.

## What the family gets

A short episode with chapters, so someone can skip to the part about them, and a transcript for anyone who would rather read. Everyone listens in the poddub app, or in any podcast app that can add a show by link, with a private link of their own. It stays private.

Every episode starts by saying that its voices are AI-generated, and the same line goes with it to podcast apps.

## It stays in the family

Each person's link is personal. If a link reaches someone who should not have it, its owner replaces it, and the old one stops working at once.

Nothing is spoken until someone reads the script and approves it, and once approved the script is frozen, so what everyone hears is what was approved.

## Hear what an episode sounds like

There is no episode made from a family's news on poddub's public show yet. Its episodes are poddub's own news, made through poddub: listen to one to hear the voices, the chapters and the pace.

## What it costs

Reading the script, changing lines and having it written again cost no minutes. Minutes are charged when a script is approved, by the length chosen for the episode. Listening costs no minutes, and every member who listens takes a seat.

The free tier listens and makes nothing. A plan is a number of seats, chosen in the app by an owner of the family's organization; the pricing page says what each plan makes in a month.
