# Turn your newsletter into a podcast episode: an audio newsletter for your readers

Paste the newsletter your group already writes and poddub turns it into a short episode of a private podcast: an audio briefing with chapters and a transcript, on a private feed for your members, and on your public show for readers outside the group when you release it.

## The newsletter, read aloud

A company, a club or an association writes a newsletter that few readers finish. poddub turns the newsletter you already write into a short podcast episode, on a private feed for your members.

It is an audio newsletter in your own words: poddub writes a script from what you pasted, and a person approves it before anything is voiced, by one narrator or two hosts, as long as you choose. Catching up doesn't need a desk.

## Who it is for

Whoever writes a newsletter for people they know: the internal newsletter at work, or a club's or an association's newsletter. At work or beyond it, poddub is the same app with the same private feeds.

The newsletter keeps going out as it always has, from whatever you send it with. The episode is one more way to take it in.

## From the newsletter to an episode in three steps

Sign in to the poddub app with your email address and invite your members: each of them installs poddub, signs in with that address and accepts. Everything below happens in the app.

1. **Paste the issue** Paste this issue into the app and pick the team it is for: all the members, or one group of them. If several people wrote parts of it, paste each as a source and make one episode from several. Then choose one narrator or two hosts, the language and the length.
2. **Read and approve the script** poddub writes the script and stops. Read it line by line and correct a name or a date by hand, since whatever you write is spoken as it stands. Have poddub write a line or the whole script again, and approve it. Nothing is spoken before that.
3. **Publish, and release it if you like** When the audio is ready, publish it to its team, or to everyone in the organization when your role allows it. It reaches the members in the app and in their private feeds. An owner or an admin can also release it to the public show.

## What the readers get

A short episode with chapters, so a reader can skip to the part they care about, and a transcript for anyone who would rather read. Members listen in the poddub app, or in any podcast app that can add a show by link, with a private link of their own.

Every episode starts by saying that its voices are AI-generated, and the same line goes with it to podcast apps and to the public show.

## Readers outside the group

A newsletter often has readers who are not members. You can also put an episode on your organization's public show, a page anyone can open and follow in a podcast app, and a public show takes no seat.

poddub does not send the episode to anyone: it is a feed. Members find it in their private feeds, and readers outside follow the public show. Only an episode you release goes there, under your organization's name, and a release can be retracted.

## Hear what an episode sounds like

There is no episode made from a newsletter on poddub's public show yet. Its episodes are poddub's own news, made through poddub: listen to one to hear the voices, the chapters and the pace.

## What it costs

Reading the script, changing lines and having it written again cost no minutes. Minutes are charged when a script is approved, by the length chosen for the episode. Listening costs no minutes, and every member who listens takes a seat.

The free tier listens and makes nothing. A plan is a number of seats, chosen in the app by an owner of the organization; the pricing page says what each plan makes in a month.
