# update_source

Update a source

Corrects a source's title, language or text; a call sends at least one of the three. Any member who can see the source can use it. It never deletes a source, and it never changes the text of an uploaded file.

## What the server says

The description an agent is given, word for word. This tool makes changes.

> Correct a source's title, language or text. Send at least one of the three: a call with none is refused. An uploaded file's text cannot be edited.

## Refusals

A refusal comes back as the tool's result, marked as an error, with the code and what explains it.

| Code                       | What it means                                                                            |
| -------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `source_not_found`         | A source named is not one the person can see, is in another team, or was deleted.        |
| `upload_body_not_editable` | The source is an uploaded file, whose text cannot be edited. Its title and language can. |
| `source_body_too_long`     | The text is over 60,000 characters. The refusal says the limit and the length.           |
