# Connect claude.ai

Add poddub to claude.ai and sign in with your own poddub account.

claude.ai can work with poddub for you: read your teams, episodes and scripts, paste what shipped, start an episode and shape its script. You connect it by signing in to poddub with your own account, so it acts as you and never does more than you can. A connector added in claude.ai also works in Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps, which use your Claude account.

## Before you start

* You need a poddub account. You create it in the poddub app; poddub.com signs in accounts that already exist.
* poddub's address for agents is `https://poddub.com/api/mcp`. Enter it exactly like this, with `https://` and without `www`.

Added here, poddub is in Claude Code too, when Claude Code is signed in with the same Claude account: see [Already in claude.ai?](/docs/agents/claude-code#already-in-claudeai).

## Add poddub to claude.ai

### On a Team or Enterprise plan

An owner of your Claude organization adds poddub once, for everyone:

1. Open **Organization settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Select **Add**, then **Custom**. If Claude asks for the connector type, choose **Web**.
3. Enter `https://poddub.com/api/mcp` as the server's address.
4. Select **Add**.

Then each person connects with their own poddub account, as the next section shows. If you are not an owner in Claude, ask one to add poddub. On Enterprise, a member whose role allows it can add it too.

### On a Free, Pro or Max plan

You add poddub to your own Claude account:

1. Open **Customize**, then **Connectors**.
2. Select **Add custom connector**.
3. Enter `https://poddub.com/api/mcp` as the server's address.
4. Select **Add**.

On the Free plan, you can add one custom connector.

### If claude.ai asks how to sign in

Some organizations see more choices when they add a connector. If claude.ai asks how people sign in, choose **Sign in now**. If it asks how Claude identifies itself, choose **Use Claude's published identity**. Leave any client ID and secret empty. These choices cannot be changed later: to change them, remove poddub in claude.ai and add it again.

## Connect

Each person does this once, with their own poddub account:

1. In claude.ai, open **Customize**, then **Connectors**. Find poddub, marked **Custom**, and select **Connect**.
2. poddub.com opens on **Sign in to poddub**. Enter the address of your poddub account under **Work email** and select **Send code**.
3. Enter the code from the email under **Code** and select **Sign in**.
4. On **Choose an organization**, choose the organization the agent works in. poddub skips this page when you are already signed in on poddub.com with an organization chosen.
5. The next page asks whether to allow Claude, in the organization you chose. Under **What it may do**, choose the most it may do. **Member** is chosen already and is enough for most work. You can choose **Admin** or **Owner** only when that is your own role in the organization: never above your own role.
6. Select **Allow**. You go back to claude.ai, connected.

If there is no poddub account for your address, poddub.com says so and signs nobody in. Create one in the poddub app, then connect again.

## What it can do

Claude works in the organization you chose, as you. It never does more than the role you allowed, nor more than you can do yourself today: if your own role drops, it drops with you. It never approves a script unless an owner allowed agents to approve. [Agents](/docs/agents) says what an agent does and never does, and [Tools](/docs/agents/tools) lists every tool.

## End it

You can end the connection at any time on poddub.com/connections, the page called **Connected agents**:

1. Open poddub.com/connections and sign in if poddub asks.
2. Next to Claude, select **End**, then **End connection**.

It stops at once. To use it again, connect it again. An owner sees everyone's connections in their organization on the same page and can end any of them.

A connection also stops when you leave or are removed from the organization, when the organization is deleted, and when your poddub account is deleted.
